Simple Kids Ice-lolly Recipes to Try at Home

There is nothing that says summer quite like an ice-lolly and kids are obsessed! These simple homemade kids’ ice-lollies have just a few ingredients and make the perfect activity for your little ones to get involved. Plus, with the healthier ingredient choices you don’t have to worry about the sugar overload and instead make ice-lollies a daily treat with an added fruit boost.

All recipes make 6-8 lollies depending on your mould

Mango & Raspberry

Ingredients

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a jug
  2. Give it a good mix so the raspberries are dispersed
  3. Pour into your moulds
  4. Freeze for at least 5 hours but preferably overnight
  5. Enjoy!

Banoffee

  • 2 large (3 small) ripe bananas squashed
  • 150g of dates
  • 3 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons yoghurt
  • 2-3 tbsp Milk of choice

 

Method

  1. Tip the dates into a small saucepan and add enough water to cover them
  2. Cook the dates on the hob over a medium heat until the dates break down and the mixture thickens. Add more water if it seems to dry.
  3. Allow the date mix to cool whilst you mash the bananas with Greek yoghurt
  4. Tip everything into food processor or use a wand blender to blitz the mixture
  5. Add milk to thin the mixture slightly
  6. Pour into your moulds
  7. Freeze for at least 5 hours but preferably overnight
  8. Enjoy!

Coconut Berry

  • 200g Frozen berries of choice
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • Squeeze of lime
  • 2 tbsp Honey* (substitute with maple syrup or agave as you prefer)

*Honey not suitable for babies under 1

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to food processor or a jug if using a wand blender
  2. Blitz the mixture until smooth
  3. Pour into your moulds
  4. Freeze for at least 5 hours but preferably overnight
  5. Enjoy!
